Sanjeev Kumar Nanda, Managing Director of Jagrit Infrastructure Private Limited, is an entrepreneur who has led his company to greater heights through sheer professionalism and strategic business approach. Today, his Gurgaon-based construction company is one of the most prominent entities engaged in construction of malls and hotels in northern India.
Venturing into real estate
Soon after completing his graduation in Civil Engineering, Mr Nanda decided to enter the real estate sector. His initial days in the business were quite difficult owing to the competitive market scenario and huge investment costs involved. However, he did not let these challenges shake his confidence. Despite the economic constraints to start a new company, Mr Nanda went ahead to realise his dreams and his determination to make a mark in the construction and designing business.
In order to gain a hands-on experience in this field, he partnered with a small real estate firm to identify and analyse the market conditions prevailing in the sector. When Mr Nanda started his career, real estate was a booming sector in India. He realised that to gain a foothold in the market it is important to understand the client preferences. Innovative ideas, developing and implementing processes and realistic models, which would meet the client expectations, were the key areas on which he concentrated. After gaining almost 15-16 years of experience in this sector, Mr Nanda laid the foundation of Jagrit Infrastructure Pvt Ltd in 2002 at Bhiwadi, Rajasthan.
India is witnessing several developmental activities in various sectors such as retail, manufacturing, education, etc. Mr Nanda feels that the real estate sector too has a huge prospect of growth in the country. He believes that India is a lucrative ground for neo-modern development and sophisticated infrastructure. This optimism has prompted Mr Nanda to engage himself in the construction and development of shopping malls and hotels that would pave the way for luxury living and shopping.
Mr Nanda feels that the continuous upgradation and implementation of innovative technology has further spurted the growth of the infrastructure development in the country. While speaking on his company’s successful journey in the last few years he says “Backed by a dynamic team and supported by a winning corporate culture, Jagrit Infrastructure was slated for growth in this competitive market.” He asserts that every new construction project that his company undertakes would set an example of high construction standards and value for money. Mr Nanda’s commitment to offer the best to his clients has earned him recognition from all quarters. Today, he handles five industrial units in and around Haryana.
A dynamic leader
As an entrepreneur, Mr Nanda is an inspiration to his employees. An increasing demand for high quality living and a wide experience in this business, has driven Mr Nanda to execute turnkey projects in and around the NCR region. Although, limited cash inflow has been a major concern, he has ensured that lack of adequate finance never encumbered the growth of the company. He says, “The core success of our company lies in the customer-driven strategy, the highest quality and creative solutions that we have successfully provided to our clients.” This dedicated approach has further led the company towards the growth trajectory despite financial hurdles.
“Maintaining high standards of service is a difficult task in this period of global economic crisis for all industry players”, feels Mr Nanda. He states that each sector is reeling under the heat of the downturn, but he is certain that the changed economic scenario will not adversely affect the company’s upcoming projects. Mr Nanda is currently focusing on the shopping mall projects coming up at Bhiwadi and Dharuhera, Haryana (part of NH 8). He plans to reach across borders with new and better projects, giving his company a pan-India recognition in the near future.
