Green initiatives by real estate firms to promote sustainability

Real estate developers Aliens Group and Marvel Realtors have initiated projects that will involve planting of trees in order to protect the environment

In an attempt to revitalise the concept of environmental sustainability and also to increase awareness among common people regarding the importance of environment, real estate developers Aliens Group and Marvel Realtors have initiated projects that will involve planting of trees in order to protect the environment.  

 
Alien Group’s campaign known as the ‘Go Green’ campaign will involve planting one lakh saplings in the vicinity of Hyderabad. The company’s senior executive Naveen Mypala will be spearheading the concept. Concerted efforts are also being taken in order to ensure that human beings rehabilitate natural habitats that are vital to help create a balance in the environment. 
 
Speaking about the event, Hari Challa, managing director of Aliens, said in a statement that the company strongly believes that the concept of a green economy is representative of a determined effort to tackle the hurting obsession with GDP as a measure of progress. The concept of perfect green economy would ensure an equitable improvement in living standards without harming environmental assets. However, this will only take place when all steps towards going green.
 
Initiatives by Marvel Realtors
 
Another real estate development company Marvel Realtors has also launched a similar campaign called ‘Virtual Tree-plantation Campaign’, wherein it will focus on planting up to 15,000 trees over a period of 7 days.
 
Talking about the initiative, Marvel Realtors CEO Vishwajeet Jhavar said in a statement that the company has always put special emphasis on the planet and has also been striving to make optimum use of natural resources in all its projects. This unique concept to contribute to the betterment of the environment and the society is part of the World Environment Day plan. It is a campaign on the social media, mostly through Facebook, which will result in actual tree plantation.    
 
Through this initiative the company is committing to donate upto 15000 trees to Pune based NGOs.
